Industry Leading IBS & Food Intolerance Dietitians

It’s simple, really. Your gut is the engine room of your entire body. It absorbs nutrients, powers your immune system and helps your brain to function properly.

1 in 7 Australians suffer from IBS and food intolerances. Symptoms range from embarrassing toilet habits and dagger-like stomach pains to headaches, brain fog, sinus issues, skin rashes and fatigue. In any case, it’s not fun or pretty.

While the cause largely remains a mystery, 3 out of 4 cases are significantly influenced by a specialised 3-phase medical elimination diet, called the low FODMAP diet – when done correctly, that is. For the rest, there’s still hope. Each case comes with a unique set of food triggers, and your culprits are revealed via a thorough food intolerance investigation.

We crack the culinary code to restore the feeling of YOU again. Like leaving a bad relationship, you may realise the extent of your symptoms only after they’re gone. If you want the freedom, energy, and mental clarity to be your best, it all starts with your gut.

Ready for change?

SIDESWIPED BY SYMPTOMS?

They can seemingly come from nowhere. Some days you’re fine, others, you can barely leave the house. Time heals wounds in many areas of life but the same can’t be said for IBS and food intolerances. In fact, symptoms can actually get worse over time.

DID SIMPLE BECOME COMPLICATED?

What was once a simple process of in then out, becomes an entanglement of frustration, pain and stress. If you’ve tried managing symptoms yourself with little results, you’re not alone. Some let this go on for years before finding the right help.

TIRED OF SEARCHING?

Are you being told that everything is “normal” despite your struggle? When your body’s engine is disrupted, everything can feel out of whack. It’s further disorienting when test after test comes back indicating you’re fine and healthy…?

AFTER AN EXPERT?

These are complex matters. The wrong advice can throw off results and in extreme cases, be downright dangerous. Booking with The Gut Friendly Dietitian is placing your health in the hands of a professional who’s been treating the full spectrum of IBS and food intolerance symptoms for many years.

About the Founder

Welcome,  I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Geraldine, The Gut Friendly Dietitian.

As a qualified and Accredited Practising Dietitian, I’ve been transforming lives through optimised and sustained eating habits for over a decade. It was a strange twist of fate when my husband came down with IBS. Knowing there was a link between diet and symptoms, I experimented with the low FODMAP diet principles and he was symptom-free within a week. The most unexpected part – gaining a slight obsession in the process.

On a mission to help others, I threw myself down an IBS and food intolerances rabbit hole which included specialised training through Monash University. Now I treat patients daily and continue to keep myself up to date with the latest science in the gut health space.
